Family Trivia Night

What is Trivia Night?

Trivia Nights are informal, fun competitions where 6-10-person teams battle to see who has the greatest knowledge of all matters trivial.  There will be questions geared towards every age, from adolescents through adults. General knowledge and trivia interest questions are asked by a trivia host and the winner is the team which, at the end of the night, has correctly answered the most number of questions.  Each team is encouraged to decorate their tables with a theme to show pride in their team/group/family/interests.  Teams must be seated by 3:30pm. This is an event for the entire family!

Other specifics:

  1. There are 10 categories with 10 questions each
  2. After each question there will be 30 seconds given to confer with your team and write down your team’s answers.
  3. After each round, 2 minutes will be given to finish answers.  At the end of that time you must have turned in your answers to the scorer’s table. 
  4. You may submit only 1 answer per question.
  5. There will be a 10 minute break between rounds 5 and 6.
  6. At the conclusion of each round the sheets are collected and marked (scored) by either the host or an assistant.
  7. Ties will be broken by a sudden-death question between the captain or single designee from each of the teams involved in the tie.  The sudden death question will not come from any category previously used during that evening.
  8. 1st and 2nd place teams receive a plaque/trophy.
  9. Votes will be taken for BEST TEAM theme during the evening as well.  (This is optional)
